TACTICAL ACCOUNTABILITY CLINIC

Strategic Tools for Tactical Success

This one-day Tactical Accountability Clinic will provide concepts, demonstration, and implementation activities that will transform your accountability and incident management capability.

If you are new to the passport system, the Tactical Accountability Clinic will establish methods and techniques that will ensure the Passport system becomes an integral tool for competent incident management.

If you’ve been using Passports for a while, the Tactical Accountability Clinic will improve and refine your system implementation.

What about status boards? The Passport system is incomplete without ICS position status boards.

Your members will discover the difference between personnel accountability and tactical accountability:

  • Personnel Accountability is basic tracking of who is at the incident and perhaps to whom they are assigned.
  • Tactical Accountability tracks who is there, who they are assigned to, what they are doing, and where they are working. In fact, if applied properly, Tactical Accountability will not only track where they are working, it will track where they entered the building.
  • Using 10-minute Command Post notifications by Dispatch (required by NFPA 1500 and 1561), Division and Group Supervisors can also track SCBA airtime.

HERE’S A MAJOR ATTRACTION: Tactical Accountability is simple, easy, and intuitive. There is nothing difficult or complex.

Think of Tactical Accountability as providing music to the words of the NIMS, the National Incident Management System.

  • You could have six alarms at the incident, with hundreds of responders, and with little effort, EVERYBODY will be tactically accounted for.

Because tactical accountability methodology is easy and intuitive, it is not a threat to your Fire Officers and Incident Managers. Once your Fire Officers understand the methodology, they will recognize the value. Tactical Accountability tools and methodology will enable them to look competent and sound competent.

For Chief Officers: An important feature of Tactical Accountability using Passports, is the methods and techniques are Standards-based citing applicable NIMS, NFPA, and OSHA criteria.

TACTICAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Passports + Status Boards = a Freelance Prevention System that Works!
